Welcome to CiO, the online subscription service operated by Cilio Technologies, LLC (“Cilio”).  We know that your privacy is important to you.  We have adopted this privacy policy to communicate our practices with respect to our use and disclosure of information collected while using the CiO online subscription services and its underlying site (collectively, the “Site”).  Please review this policy and visit this page from time to time in the future to review any updated versions.

When you visit this Site, Cilio may collect certain information from you.  This information may include personal and non-personal information as well as transaction data related to the services that Cilio is providing.

Cilio only collects personally identifiable information from you on a voluntary basis.  This information is provided to Cilio by the user through the completion and submission of forms, inquiries, and other similar means.  “Personal Information” may include, but is not limited to, your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and financial information.  By providing this information, you consent to Cilio’s use of the Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and your underlying Subscription Agreement with Cilio (if you are a subscriber to Cilio services).

When you use this Site, Cilio receives and stores certain personally non-identifiable information, such as the number of unique visitors, how our Site is accessed, and the IP address or browser information   (“Non-Personal Information”).  Non-Personal Information is passively collected using various technologies and cannot be used to identify a specific user.


In connection with the operation of this Site, Cilio may employ the use of cookies.  A cookie is a small text file stored by your computer’s Internet browser to help improve your experience on a Site.  A cookie does not extract any Personal Information, nor can it be used to read any personal information on your computer.  If you do not wish to accept cookies from the Site, you can turn off this function in your browser’s references; however, some portions of our Site may not operate properly.

Cilio may use all information collected through the Site for purposes of providing services to you.   Cilio may also use Personal Information for the specific purpose for which it was submitted, to send you various news updates or newsletters, marketing or other communications, or for other administrative or business purposes.  Cilio will not sell, license, or disclose your Personal Information to third parties, unless such sale, license, or disclosure is expressly authorized by you or is made to a trusted partner of Cilio to help us respond or fulfill requests made by you on this Site.  Under certain circumstances, Cilio may disclose your Personal Information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (i) comply with a legal obligation, (ii) protect or defend the rights or property of Cilio, (iii) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users to the Site, or (iv) protect against legal liability. Cilio may use any information collected through the Site for administrative purposes, to improve its business practices or to make changes to its Site.

Use by Children

The Site is offered and available to users who are 18 years of age or older.  By using the Site, a user represents and warrants that s/he is of legal age to form a binding contract with Cilio and meets this age eligibility requirement.  If you do not meet this requirement, you must not access or use the Site or send any Personal Information through this Site.  Cilio does not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under the age of 18.


Cilio takes information security seriously and takes reasonable precautions to protect users to its Site and information provided by such users.  Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure.  Any transmission of Personal Information is at your own risk.  Cilio is not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Site or the underlying technical infrastructure supporting the Site.

Do Not Track

Cilio does not track its Site users over time and across third party Sites to provide targeted advertising and therefore does not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals.

The Site may contain hyperlinks to other Sites not operated or controlled by Cilio.  Cilio is not responsible for the kinds of information collected on any of these other sites, the privacy policies or terms or conditions.  We encourage you to review any privacy policies or terms of use posted on any of these sites.


You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Cilio, its affiliates and subsidiaries and the foregoing entities’ respective officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors and suppliers from and against all claims, liabilities, judgments, awards, costs, losses, expenses, damages and fees, including reasonable attorneys’ fees resulting from any violation of this Privacy Policy, or any activity related to your account (including negligent or wrongful conduct) by you or any other person accessing the Site using your Internet connection, your computer devices or your account.

Business Change

In the event the Cilio is acquired or merged into another company,  or any other similar business transition, your Personal Information will be disclosed and transferred to this new entity.  Note that this Privacy Policy may then be amended in accordance with the new company’s business practices.


Cilio may update or modify this Privacy Policy from time to time, and any revised Privacy Policy will be posted on this Site.  It is your sole responsibility to periodically visit the Site and review this Privacy Policy for any changes.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

You agree that all matters relating to your access to or use of the Site, including all disputes, will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and by the laws of the State of Wisconsin without regard to its conflicts of law provisions.  You agree to the jurisdiction of and venue in the state and federal courts in Milwaukee County, WI, and waive any objection or defense to such jurisdiction or venue, including without limitation defenses of forum non-conveniens.
