CiO History
2001: The Beginning
Cilio Technologies was started as a web application development company, then under the name of IT Directions and Strategies (ITDS). ITDS’ purpose was to use the web to re-engineer common IT processes.
2001 – 2006: First Challenge
ITDS worked with LG Hausys to solve a problem for Lowe’s Corporation. To manage countertop orders from point of sale through installation, Lowe’s had to connect national partners with their stores.
2006: First Solution
Cilio’s first development was an application called Partners Portal. The app used the web to connect partners and manage their orders. Partners Portal was for all of Cilio’s partners, not just Lowe’s.
2007: Lowe’s Integration
Partners Portal was deployed by Lowe’s Corporation. Lowe’s asked all of their countertop vendors to start using Partners Portal. The partners found that it improved their processes, while saving time.
2012: Refresh
ITDS wanted to create a unique name for the solutions it had developed for retailers, manufacturers, fabricators, and installers. Breaking aways from ITDS, the new group was named Cilio Technologies.
2014: Another Big Partner
Expanding sales channels with new workflows! Caesarstone and IKEA set new benchmarks. Cilio partners with IKEA to expand their reach and help the international retail giant streamline installations.
2015: New Developments
Cilio began to develop a new application for installers from Lowe’s, Home Depot, and other retailers. The application was called CiO “Customer Installations Online” and integrated with Partners Portal.
CiO’s purpose was simple…
- Automate order entry
- Schedule the job through steps to complete by date, by type of job, by resource, by location
- Track Jobs in the field
- Complete and invoice jobs
2016: Instant Success
After being designed by installers and fabricators, CiO was released to a pilot group of real businesses. The pilot group tried the new application, rapidly adopted it and thus made CiO an instant success.
2017: Always Improving
Cilio is constantly improving and expanding the capabilities of CiO. To produce the best products possible for its users, Cilio welcomes feedback and suggestions and takes action to implement the changes.
2018: Lowe’s Integration
Integrated with Lowe’s new IMS portal, FloorSoft and continued expansion.
